[누가복음(Luke) 7:28-30]
28 내가 너희에게 말하노니 여자가 낳은 자 중에 요한보다 큰 자가 없도다 그러나 하나님의 나라에서는 극히 작은 자라도 그보다 크니라 하시니
29 모든 백성과 세리들은 이미 요한의 세례를 받은지라 이 말씀을 듣고 하나님을 의롭다 하되
30 바리새인과 율법교사들은 그의 세례를 받지 아니함으로 그들 자신을 위한 하나님의 뜻을 저버리니라
[NIV] 28 “I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”
29 All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesus’ words, acknowledged that God’s way was right, because they had been baptized by John.
30 But the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.
